Actually not. More importantly, at the end of this year, we have a team that will take on the challenge next year and continue to grow. The most important thing now is us, our identity and our football. Because all you have to do is participate…hey, that’s not Willy Wonka’s golden ticket, right? This is enough to qualify for the Champions League for one year. However, I think it is meaningless if we do not grow based on it. Because we’re not in it to participate. We are working towards winning. Yes, if we qualify for the Champions League this year, it means we have improved from last year. But has our football improved? Are we a better team? Is our team stronger? Are we going to improve even more in the summer and be even better next year?

That’s much more important to me. My goal this year was to build a team that has a strong foundation to become a consistently winning team. That is the beginning and the end. Logically, as you say, if we improve and get into the Champions League, it means we had a good year. But that’s no consolation to me if I’m not playing the football I want to play and I’m not improving in the offseason to see if I’m ready for the next step. right.

Now, there are several teams that participated in the Champions League from last year to this year and had good seasons. Does that guarantee anything for next season? No, as I’ve said all along, I’m not desperate to get something just for peace of mind or insurance. I’m here to build a winning team. To me, aiming for anything other than the top defies logic. I’m just not built that way. That doesn’t mean we’ll always get there, but we’re not willing to settle for anything else. If I fail, it’s my fault, okay? But I’m not going to sit here and try to create a scenario where you’re satisfied with anything other than being the best. That’s my way of thinking.

He’s outstanding, I thought he was from day one. He is a World Cup winner.He can’t win a World Cup as a starter or contributor. [unless you’re good]. He has a great pedigree, a great defender, a great guy, very driven and motivated. He’s very competitive in everything he does and I love that. There’s nothing more you could want from an athlete and he’s a great example for other players.

I don’t know about difficult decisions. Those are easy decisions. The good thing about Brennan is that he’s contributing. Throughout his year, we saw him grow and play in a different way. They are all in front of me with an opportunity to start or not.

I think he was a really important person. If we hadn’t brought him in, he would have been a bigger burden on the other players, especially if Sonny had left. We threw him straight into it. He made an impact, but I think he can be even better.

Everyone from last week can participate. Pedro is doing well and has been training this week. Everyone else, including Richie, hasn’t trained yet.
